Natural stone - Solnhofen Limestone

We obtain SOLNHOFEN LIMESTONE from our own quarries.
This enables us to select material to compensate for the quality fluctuations
manifested by every naturally occurring product.
Scrap stays in the quarry as far as we are concerned.
Additional deliveries can be made decades later identical to the initial pattern.
This multi-layer material can only be quarried by hand even today.
Raw polygonal slabs obtained in this way are then surface/format processed in the stone works.
Any format can be cut in theory within the raw polygonal slab surface (max. diagonal approx. 100 cm) - in contrast to mass production.
However, standards have prevailed for cost reasons (even for surface or edge processing).
SOLNHOFEN slabs in particular with their different hues, dendrites (fern-like salt deposits), fossils, i.e. natural surface patterns, fulfill the requirements of visually sensitive building owners for an individual rather than a mass-produced floor covering pattern.
Performance capability and quality of life are of course included.
ARELIA, the recently developed surface treatment, fulfils the requirement for antique-look floor tiles for renovations.

SOLNHOFEN LIMESTONE shows its various manifestations of beauty at their best in interiors.
It has only limited usage outside because it is not frostproof.
